Top Line – a bet on (0-00-1-2) predicting that either of them will be spun. Can be made at Roulette type featuring double-zero wheel (American Roulette). Payout odds of 6-1
Outside Bets
1 to 18 – a bet predicting either of the numbers between 1 and 18 to be spun. Payout odds of 1-1
19 to 36 – a bet predicting either of the numbers between 19 and 36 to be spun. Payout odds of 1-1
Red or Black – a bet predicting that the next number spun will either be red or black. Payout odds of 1-1
Even or Odd – a bet predicting the the next number spun will either be even or odd. Payout odds of 1-1
Dozen Bet – a bet on either of three number dozens (1-12 13-24 25-36). Payout odds of 2-1
Column Bet – a bet on either of three vertical number columns. First column features number 1-4-7-10 and so on. Payout odds of 1-1
This is the main information you need to play Roulette. Gameplay is VERY simple and everything’s automated. Place a wager on the bet type that you predict will fulfil and that’s all! The House Edge
Roulette features a relatively low house edge that differs at each of three types of Roulette. European Roulette features a house edge of 2.70%, American Roulette have it at 5.24% and the lowest house edge can be experienced when playing French Roulette – tiny 1.35%. This is because it features the so called ”La Partage” rule, which allows you to get half of your wager back and works as an insurance.
How does these percents work in terms of cash? Well 2.70% house edge means that you’ll loose $2,7 each time you wager $100 on average. Of course these are only averages and short term luck can turn this in either direction – winning a lot or loosing a lot.
Strategy&Betting systems
Since the early days of Roulette players have tried to implement a strategy that would allow them to win at roulette. Unfortunately it’s just not possible as no strategy or system can change the house edge, which is gained by paying out at smaller odds than the likelihood of a particular event occurring.
